When I was a kid, I’d been wanting a Super Nintendo forever (although I suppose it was only about one year), and when my parents got me a used one with a couple of games for Christmas one day, this was one of the games included. I didn’t even care for it at first, only Super Mario World, but when I first heard this song, I freaked out. I can still remember that, I think it was Sunday morning and I couldn’t even believe how friggin awesome it was. I didn’t listen to much “regular music” as a kid, so this was probably one of the first songs ever that totally got me and considerably shaped my musical tastes.
